Junior Associate, Financial Reporting & Insights

About the Role

BDO Canada LLP is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Associate to join our Financial Reporting & Insights team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for preparing financial statements, working files, and tax returns for a variety of clients. You will also build positive working relationships with clients and effectively respond to their requests and suggestions.

Your Responsibilities

  1. Prepare financial statements for Notice to Reader and Review engagement
  2. Prepare working files for income tax and information returns for clients of various sizes
  3. Prepare corporate and/or personal tax returns, including information returns
  4. Build strong relationships with clients and respond to their requests and suggestions
  5. Complete ongoing accounting analysis and assignments following established procedures
  6. Communicate effectively with team members regarding progress updates and issues

Your Qualifications

  1. Completed undergraduate degree or diploma in accounting and necessary pre-requisites
  2. Desire to provide outstanding client service and commitment to teamwork
  3. Proven leadership skills and ability to take initiative
  4. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
