As the leader of this team, you will be responsible for all aspects of daily operations, ensuring that each child receives exceptional care and support within a nurturing environment. Responsibilities- Develop and implement individualized care plans for each child, assigning Key Workers to ensure their successful execution.
- Maintain the highest standards of care, adhering to National Minimum Standards and the Home's Statement of Purpose.
- Establish quality assurance measures and actively seek feedback from young people to continuously improve services.
- Collaborate with parents, carers, and professionals to advocate for the well-being of each child.
- Participate in childcare planning and review meetings to ensure comprehensive support for every resident.
- Recruit, train, and supervise staff members, providing development plans and fostering open communication within the team.
- Effectively manage budgets to ensure the smooth operation of the home.
- A deep understanding of EBD children and experience in managing challenging behaviors.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- An unwavering commitment to providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children.
- Proven ability to plan, organize, and allocate resources effectively.
- Full UK driving license.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working with children within the past 5 years, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or senior position in residential care.
- Ability to motivate and empower staff members.
- NVQ Level 4 in Caring for Children & Young People (or equivalent) or actively pursuing this qualification.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and best practices in children's residential care.
