Job Title: Charities Coordinator

The Prax Foundation is seeking a dedicated and proactive individual to oversee the day-to-day operations of Roots, a UK-based charity focused on supporting girls and children in Sri Lanka.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the administration of Roots, including banking and payments
  • Develop and implement fundraising strategies, including auctions and events
  • Identify new causes for the Foundation to support and work with the Steering Committee to develop new projects
  • Collaborate with Food banks and other organizations to advance the education of girls and children
  • Ensure the Foundation's operations are run on a zero-cost basis, with all donations going directly to Roots
About the Prax Foundation:

The Prax Foundation was established in 2010 by the founders of the Prax Group, with a mission to support girls and children in Sri Lanka. The charity is overseen by the Carmelite Sisters and has a strong focus on education and welfare.

The Foundation's first projects are based in Sri Lanka, where it supports two hostels and has a presence in all Harvest Energy filling stations in the UK. The Prax Group is the main donor to the Foundation, and every dollar donated goes directly to Roots.

Requirements:
  • Previous experience working within the charity sector
  • Experience of planning and budgets
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
