Division Chief of Pediatric Anesthesia Opportunity

UMass Memorial Health Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Division Chief of Pediatric Anesthesia to lead our Pediatric Anesthesia Division. As a key member of our Department of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care, advancing our academic mission, and contributing to the growth and development of our team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Pediatric Anesthesia Division, overseeing the delivery of high-quality patient care and ensuring the highest level of expertise within the division.
  • Contribute to our academic mission through engagement in medical student and resident teaching, medical simulation, quality improvement work, and research.
  • Supervise standardization of day-to-day clinical operations of Pediatric Anesthesia services.
  • Train and supervise residents, CRNAs, SRNAs, and neonatology fellows.
  • Liaise with faculty in the Children's Medical Center to improve clinical care through a joint faculty appointment in the Department of Pediatrics.
  • Participate in governance workgroups for the Children's Medical Center.
  • Support professional and clinical advancement of faculty in the Division.
  • Educate the Anesthesiology Department in advancements for Pediatric Anesthesia.
  • Support and conduct collaborative research in advancement of Pediatric Anesthesia.
Requirements:
  • Board certification/eligibility in Anesthesiology.
  • Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology.
  • Professor of Anesthesiology and Surgery.
