We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Manager to join our team at Huntress Search Ltd. As a key member of our specialist team, you will be responsible for developing and launching new products that meet the needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Manage projects from concept development to first production, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of new products.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with culinary specialists, sales, and technical departments to develop innovative product and packaging concepts.
- Product Development: Develop, review, and present to clients innovative product and packaging concepts that meet client briefs, target prices, and associated costs.
- Launch Planning: Lead the transition of new products from approved concept, trial, and testing stages through to full production, ensuring products maintain their culinary profile and integrity.
- Factory Trials: Plan, manage, and support factory trials at manufacturers, resolving any problems arising to ensure efficient production processes are adopted.
- Quality Control: Work with manufacturers to establish relevant controls prior to the introduction of new production processes and products, ensuring quality attributes are maintained throughout development and manufacturing processes.
- Supplier Management: Input to the supplier approval process and manage the introduction of new manufacturers as they are appointed.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain positive, collaborative relationships with supplier partners, understanding their processes and capabilities to improve product development processes.
- Education: Food science degree or equivalent, with experience in food manufacturing environments.
- Experience: Experience in playing a leading role in a product development team, with project management experience and success in meeting operational and financial targets.
- Skills: Understanding of outsourced environments and contract manufacturing, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
