StratforduponAvon, Warwickshire, United Kingdom EMIS Group Plc Full time

At EMIS Group Plc, we are thrilled to present a remarkable opportunity for a Technical Product Manager to become a vital member of our skilled EMIS Web product platform team on a permanent basis.

This is an exhilarating moment to join our organization as we continue to expand. You will play a crucial role in enhancing our flagship primary care product, EMIS Web, which provides essential technology to numerous healthcare organizations across the UK.

We seek a technically adept Product Manager with experience in technologies such as .NET, SQL, and AWS, who will collaborate closely with our engineering teams.

If you aspire to be part of a company that values your contributions and allows you to witness the impact of your work on improving health outcomes through effective product management, we encourage you to consider this opportunity.

This position offers remote working flexibility, with occasional collaborative sessions held in our office.

Key Responsibilities

As a Technical Product Manager, you will be responsible for managing and prioritizing a technology-focused product backlog that includes enhancement and optimization features. You will align with our EMIS Web Product Platform team, which is accountable for the security, reliability, performance, cost optimization, and operational excellence of our leading clinical software.

Collaboration is essential at EMIS; as a Product Manager, you will proactively engage with internal stakeholders, including infrastructure specialists, product managers, and engineering teams, to gather requirements and create user stories that align with the product vision.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  • Clearly defining acceptance criteria for user stories and tasks, ensuring the platform teams have a comprehensive understanding of success metrics.
  • Participating in sprint planning meetings, driving the prioritization of user stories and technical tasks, and collaborating to ensure a shared understanding of all requirements.
  • Effectively communicating with stakeholders, product managers, and engineering teams, providing updates on the status of the data backlog and ensuring alignment on priorities.
  • Utilizing agile development principles to collaboratively define features that deliver optimal customer and business value.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for an experienced Product Manager with a solid understanding of relevant data technologies such as .NET, SQL, and AWS, along with an awareness of observability tools. You should be inquisitive, capable of understanding the needs of our customers and internal stakeholders to successfully deliver the product roadmap.

Having experience in an agile environment is essential, as is a proven track record in strategic backlog planning and management of technology-related products. Your ability to collaborate effectively with technologists and break down complex development tasks into manageable deliverables will be key to meeting sprint targets.

Professional and Technical Skills Required:

  • Previous experience and enthusiasm for software-related product delivery.
  • Knowledge and experience of Agile methodologies.
  • Strong technical background with proficiency in technologies including SQL, .NET, and AWS.
  • Familiarity with observability tools such as DataDog and Azure Application Insights.
  • Strong collaboration skills with engineering stakeholders.
  • Excellent technical problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience in the healthcare sector is desirable but not essential.

If this aligns with your career aspirations, we encourage you to explore this opportunity further.

Our Vision and Your Contribution

Our vision is to be the leading provider of innovative healthcare technology that enhances people's lives. Are you interested in being part of that vision?

By working with our customers, we are at the forefront of delivering patient-centered, connected, digitally enabled health and care services. Our solutions are utilized across various health and care settings, including GP surgeries, community care, pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, and specialist services.
