Company Profile: A well-established home goods organization is seeking a Lead Merchandising Specialist to enhance their merchandising team.
This company has a rich history of over three decades in the industry, renowned for its premium, design-oriented products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compile and deliver comprehensive reports for both clients and internal stakeholders, primarily utilizing Excel with extensive data sets.
- Develop reports aimed at improving operational efficiencies.
- Forecast demand accurately and manage rebuys based on lead times and minimum order quantities.
- Strive to maintain a 98% stock availability rate with forward-looking forecasts.
- Oversee the procurement of new lines and rebuys for assigned clients, ensuring alignment with target delivery schedules to meet specified service levels and inventory objectives.
- Implement and manage the Critical Path process for initial orders and rebuys.
- Complete customer New Line Forms, product codes, and barcode setups.
- Keep clients informed of any changes regarding the critical path, stock levels, and availability timelines.
- Collaborate with the National Account Manager, Quality Control, Warehouse, Customers, and Suppliers.
- Generate and maintain purchase orders to guarantee timely deliveries by coordinating with suppliers in various regions, considering minimum order quantities, lead times, and holidays.
- Address customer stock inquiries and foster relationships with other departments, including the warehouse.
- Manage Direct-to-Consumer orders and related queries.
- Evaluate supplier performance through regular order status report reviews.
- Implement sustainable packaging changes in accordance with evolving guidelines.
- Utilize customer portals for uploading and downloading product data.
- Support the Head of Customer Operations in various initiatives.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience in a wholesale or retail environment, focusing on sales and inventory management.
- GCSE qualifications in Mathematics and English at Grade B or higher.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel (including lookups, pivots, and macros).
- Experience working with large data sets to analyze and interpret information.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to document information clearly, accurately, and legibly.
- Self-motivated with the capability to manage personal workload effectively.
- Proven organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Strong analytical reasoning and problem-solving abilities.
