Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Geotechnical Design Engineer to join our team in Manchester. As a key member of our geotechnical team, you will be responsible for designing and developing geotechnical solutions for a variety of projects, including rail and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop geotechnical solutions for projects, including earthwork design, slope stability, foundation design, and retaining wall design.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure geotechnical solutions meet project requirements.
  • Develop and maintain geotechnical design tools and methodologies.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in geotechnical engineering.

Requirements:

  • 4-6 years of experience in geotechnical design engineering.
  • Chartered or approaching chartered with the Institution of Civil Engineers.
  • Strong knowledge of geotechnical design tools, including Autocad.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple projects.
