Financial Director

At SF Recruitment (Birmingham), we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Controller to join our client's team in Redditch. As a key member of the finance team, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial operations of the business.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial statements, and reports.
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial records and compliance with statutory requirements.
- Lead the implementation and ongoing compliance with SOX regulations, ensuring robust internal controls and reporting processes.
- Manage the budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
- Provide financial analysis and insights to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Manage cash flow, working capital, and cost control initiatives.
- Lead and mentor a finance team, ensuring development and efficiency.
- Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third-party stakeholders.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function.
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified accountant (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a Financial Controller role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, SOX compliance, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to provide strategic financial insights.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
A competitive base salary up to £85,000 PA, plus an additional benefits package.
