We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered General Nurse to join our team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Band 5 Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care in our Emergency Department.
About the RoleAs a Registered General Nurse, you will be responsible for providing constant monitoring and care for patients in a seriously ill or unstable condition. You will actively support emergency admissions, planned admissions, and post-surgery patients and their families, communicating clinical information using a variety of methods to ensure effective understanding.
Key Responsibilities- Provide constant monitoring and care for patients in a seriously ill or unstable condition.
- Actively support emergency admissions, planned admissions, and post-surgery patients and their families.
- Take blood/fit a cannula and undertake patient observations as patient need dictates throughout the shift.
- Write care plans, perform assessments, and make referrals.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least 2 years post-graduate experience as a Registered General Nurse. You will also need to adhere to the NMC professional Code of Conduct and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
