Job Role
We are seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join our team, working on a variety of infrastructure projects. As a key member of our civils team, you will be responsible for delivering highways and infrastructure projects for a diverse range of clients and sectors.
Key Responsibilities
Design and manage infrastructure projects, including highways and transportation systems.
Liaise with clients and stakeholders to discuss design and technical solutions.
Ensure projects are appropriately resourced, delegating work to team members and monitoring progress.
Provide support and guidance to junior staff, fostering their development and progression.
Implement company policies and ensure adherence across your team.
Monitor and oversee project budgets and staff resources for projects undertaken.
Develop existing customer relationships and promote our services.
Assist in achieving targeted revenues from current and new customers.
Requirements
Degree qualified in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Chartered Engineer status (CEng) would be advantageous.
Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in civil engineering.
Demonstrable record of involvement in the design of highways and infrastructure projects.
Proven track record of cost estimation and project management.
Understanding of the use of design tools within a BIM environment.
Use of industry design standards, i.e. DMRB; Manual for Streets; NJUG, SSG etc.
Problem solver, able to offer solutions to challenges.
Able to work and collaborate as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
Confident, articulate, collaborative & proactive.
Eagerness to learn and to develop your skills and career with training support.
Good time management and organisational skills to efficiently manage workload.
A good knowledge of the CDM regulations in addition to British standards and EU regulations.
Excellent spoken and written English.
Full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel across the UK to visit sites and other offices.
Eligibility to live and work in the UK and be able to demonstrate proof when requested.
