The Opportunity

We are seeking a collaborative full-stack Software Engineer with good knowledge of Go and React to join our team. As a Software Engineer at UserTesting, you will be involved in challenging projects and initiatives that directly contribute to the growth and success of our company.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with technical and subject matter experts to deliver class-leading products.
  • Advocate and lead-by-example best practices in pair programming, refactoring, and code review.
  • Ensure maintainability, performance, and scalability of the code.
  • Work effectively within a team environment, to regularly solicit and act on feedback, focus on root causes, and continually strive to improve.
  • Collaborate naturally with peers and functions outside of engineering, and with peers who are both remote and co-located in various locations.

Requirements

  • Experience coding in Go.
  • Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks such as Angular or React.
  • Engineering practices such as refactoring, CI/CD, pair programming, and code reviews.
  • Significant experience working with APIs (REST, gRPC, graphQL) in a service-oriented architecture.
  • Experience with agile development processes such as Lean/Scrum/Kanban/XP.
  • Experience with ArgoCD, Terraform, Docker, or Kubernetes.
  • Preference for individuals living in Scotland.
