Job Overview:

Acorn by Synergie is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join their client, a large manufacturing business in North Wales. Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the purpose of this role is to ensure the smooth operation of the factory by resolving equipment breakdowns and delivering maintenance services.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and ensure plant efficiency.
  2. Perform repairs and maintenance tasks on plant and equipment during production, either individually or as part of a team.
  3. Implement planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance strategies to achieve optimal plant uptime and maintenance KPIs.
  4. Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and regulations, and verify that all equipment meets company and legal requirements.
  5. Maintain a daily engineering report log to track progress and identify areas for improvement.
  6. Assist with inventory management and stock control.
  7. Complete work orders on time and to a high standard.
  8. Liaise effectively with external contractors and vendors.
  9. Represent the Engineering department in production meetings and contribute to effective communication within the team.
  10. Establish and maintain open communication channels between Production, Engineering, and Engineering Management.

The ideal candidate will possess a formal engineering qualification to NVQ Level 3 or higher, in an electrical or mechanical subject, and hold 17th or 18th Edition Certification. The role involves working 12-hour shifts, with a 4-on, 4-off schedule. Acorn by Synergie acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment.
