Job Overview
- This position provides an opportunity to assist individuals reintegrating into society after incarceration, offering guidance and support in a vibrant service dedicated to fostering positive transformations in their lives.
- By employing a compassionate, recovery-focused methodology, you will be instrumental in recognizing and enhancing the strengths and choices of each individual.
- As a member of the Via team, you will benefit from a nurturing environment, comprehensive training, peer support, and consistent supervision to excel in an innovative service framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Your duties will include delivering exceptional care to individuals exiting custodial environments and seeking assistance for substance use and associated complexities.
- Work collaboratively with the clinical team, counselors, and other professionals to ensure holistic care for service users.
- A profound understanding of the obstacles faced by individuals dealing with substance use and related health challenges is essential.
- Manage a diverse caseload, provide interventions, and facilitate various group activities as part of the recovery journey.
- Expect a range of responsibilities that promise a dynamic work experience each day.
- Completion of necessary vetting procedures is a prerequisite for this role.
About the Service
- This role is part of Via's newly established criminal justice service framework, contributing to the enhancement of existing service capabilities and promoting positive outcomes under a new initiative.
- Having recently assumed responsibility for Adult Drug and Alcohol Services across the region, Via offers an environment conducive to professional growth and impactful contributions.
Work Location
- This role encompasses a broad geographical area with a primary focus on service delivery.
