Job Title: RGN (Prison Nurse)

Belmont Recruitment is seeking experienced Registered General Nurses to work in a Merseyside-based prison setting. The ideal candidate will be able to commit to a minimum of three shifts per week on a block booking or contact position basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough nursing assessments and observations, documenting findings in written reports.
  • Collaborate with the management team to develop and improve the healthcare service, ensuring adherence to Prison guidelines and Healthcare Commission standards.
  • Administer prescribed medications in accordance with Healthcare procedure and guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient discussions, assessments, interventions, treatment, and medications delivered.
  • Monitor patients' conditions closely, identifying potential implications for care and treatment.
  • Provide specialized care and support for prisoners with enduring mental health needs.

This role does not require prison clearance, but rather experienced RGNs with strong transferable skills who can adapt to a new environment. Competitive pay rates apply for this position.
