Hours: 22:30-7:00 Sunday to Thursday

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join our night shift team at a well-established clean food manufacturer in Northampton. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of production machinery, performing electrical and mechanical fault finding and rectification, and collaborating with the engineering manager to maintain a healthy working environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Electrical and mechanical fault finding and rectification on production machinery
  2. Pre-planned maintenance of on-site machinery
  3. Following health and safety policies and procedures
  4. Collaborating with the engineering manager to ensure smooth production
  5. Carrying out repairs on conveyors and automated machinery
  6. Ensuring a clean and organized workspace

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience as a maintenance engineer in a FMCG, food manufacturing, or automated environment with a mechanical or electrical bias
  2. Relevant electrical and mechanical fault finding, repair, and maintenance experience
  3. Knowledge of electrical systems, including PLCs, control panels, and testing
  4. Ability to work alone and as part of a team
  5. Relevant electrical and mechanical qualifications

What We Offer:

  1. Salary between £52,000 - £54,000 dependent on experience
  2. 31 days annual leave (inclusive of public holidays) plus a salary sacrifice scheme to purchase up to 5 more days annual leave
  3. Pension scheme with up to 5% contribution match
  4. Overtime sometimes available, offered time off in lieu or paid at 1.5x
  5. Ongoing commitment to training and development
