About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cleanroom Supervisor to join our Aseptic Services team at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Cleanroom Supervisor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective operation of our cleanroom facilities, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and patient safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage cleanroom activities, including staff, workflow, cleaning, and validation.
  • Organize and coordinate the daily and weekly activities of the cleanroom team.
  • Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Quality Assurance (QA) systems.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure the comprehensive and efficient supply and delivery of aseptically prepared products.
Requirements
  • BTEC in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent qualification.
  • Minimum 3 years continuous service in aseptics or similar environment as a Senior Assistant Technical Officer.
  • Substantial GMP pharmacy/QC laboratory practical work experience and/or substantial experience in an industrial/pharmaceutical setting.
  • Knowledge and application of SOPs and QA systems.
  • Good manufacturing, dispensing, or distribution practices.
  • Knowledge of COSHH and stock control.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • APDM via Leeds University/TSET.
  • Pre and In-Process Checking within Aseptic Services.
  • Level 3 Science Manufacturing Technician.
  • Level 3 Team leading.
  • Knowledge of clinical trials and hospital aseptic services.
