Job Title: Sports Lecturer

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver the Further Education and Training specification for SEN students as the main Lecturer for the class or group
  • Plan and coordinate lessons, resources, and support to enable learners to achieve their qualifications
  • Use the College's online systems to track progress and attendance
  • Deliver interactive lessons to learners with clear lesson objectives
  • Motivate and inspire learners using up-to-date teaching methodology
  • Set and monitor regular, challenging homework in line with student abilities
  • Contribute to quality assurance initiatives, including learner views, lesson observation, and action planning
  • Attend meetings and training days as required
  • Ensure accurate completion of class registers and stay on top of administrative tasks
Requirements:
  • Substantial experience in the Further Education and Training sector
  • Hold a UK-recognised teaching qualification (DTLLS, PCET, PGCE, or QCF Level 5 Diploma in Education)
  • Previous experience working as a sports Lecturer or Teacher with a successful record in retention and achievement
  • Hold GCSEs in both Maths and English at grade A-C or equivalent
  • A valid DBS registration with the online update service or willingness to apply for a new one
  • Proven experience of consistently good or outstanding teaching
