Job Title: ICT Server Infrastructure Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced ICT Server Infrastructure Engineer to join our team at a leading global insurance company in the City. As a key member of our specialist global Infrastructure Support function, you will play a critical role in the 1st, 2nd, and some 3rd line support of the global IT environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Act as an escalation point for 1st and 2nd line support, providing expert guidance and resolution to technical incidents.
  2. Resolve technical incidents at a server configuration level, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal system performance.
  3. Implement security strategies, improve and update operating environments, SQL servers, and network infrastructure to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  4. Develop and maintain excellent knowledge of SQL, leveraging this expertise to drive business value.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, build, and support infrastructure within AWS, ensuring seamless integration and scalability.
  6. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in networking, including DNS and TCP, to drive innovation and improvement.
  7. Utilize your experience in insurance to provide valuable insights and support to the business, driving business outcomes and growth.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in ICT Server Infrastructure Engineering, with a strong background in server configuration, security, and networking.
  • Excellent knowledge of SQL and experience with AWS infrastructure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
