The Face-to-Face Fundraising Role
This fulfilling position allows you to make a tangible impact on the lives of those in need while enhancing your skills and career prospects.
As a representative of our charity clients, you will engage with the public, encouraging their support through regular monthly donations or lottery sign-ups.
All fundraisers at Charity Link are employed on permanent contracts, ensuring a stable and predictable income with opportunities for additional earnings.
You will be provided with charity-branded apparel and equipment, including stands, promotional materials, and an electronic device for donor sign-ups.
Typical working hours will vary based on the venues you attend, aiming to maximize foot traffic during peak times. For door-to-door fundraising, ideal hours are from 11 AM to 7 PM, particularly during the crucial evening hours.
This hybrid role encompasses both Door-to-Door and Private Site fundraising, requiring flexibility to work in various settings. You may find yourself canvassing during weekdays and engaging with the public at private sites on weekends, especially during busy seasons.
Door-to-Door fundraising occurs in designated areas close to your residence, while Private Site fundraising takes place at a variety of events, retail locations, and community spaces, all pre-arranged by our in-house team to optimize your chances of securing donors.
The working day will vary according to your assigned venues, and you should be prepared to work during peak hours, particularly in the evenings when potential donors are more accessible.
During your initial training period of 12 weeks, you will receive extensive support, including a comprehensive orientation and a dedicated mentor.
Throughout your tenure in this role, you will acquire essential knowledge and skills for success, while also building resilience and confidence.
As you progress, your opportunities for advancement and earning potential will expand.

Ideal Candidate Profile
- A positive attitude and a strong work ethic, with a drive to meet and exceed targets independently.
- Previous experience in door-to-door or private site sales, or significant experience in other face-to-face sales or customer service roles.
- Flexibility in working hours, adapting to the needs of door-to-door or private site fundraising.
- Excellent communication skills, with a proven ability to engage with the public and establish rapport quickly.
- A valid UK driving license and access to a personal vehicle.
- Comfort in working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- A genuine desire to advocate for the charity you represent.
