We are seeking a skilled MET Strip/Fitter Technician to join our team at Steer Automotive Group's Glasgow Bodyshop.
As a MET Strip/Fitter Technician, you will play a vital role in our accident repair process, working with cutting-edge equipment in a state-of-the-art facility.
Key Responsibilities- Dismantling and reassembling vehicles to manufacturer standards and specifications.
- Conducting detailed inspections to assess vehicle damage and identify repair requirements.
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
- Collaborating with the Bodyshop team to ensure all repairs are completed on time and to a high standard.
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and organized workspace while adhering to health and safety regulations.
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Previous experience as a MET Strip/Fitter or in a similar role within the Bodyshop and accident repair industry.
- Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems and repair techniques.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and Bodyshop equipment.
- A sharp eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
- A proactive problem-solving attitude and the ability to work under pressure.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., SVQ Level 3 or equivalent) are a plus.
