Job Title: Behavior Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Behavior Teaching Assistant to join our team at a special primary school in Harrow. The successful candidate will have a passion for working with students with complex needs and a proven track record of delivering high-quality support.

About the Role:

The Behavior Teaching Assistant will work closely with the teaching staff to provide individualized support to students with severe autism, complex medical conditions, and physical and mobility difficulties. The role will involve supporting students with their personal care, behavior management, and educational needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with complex needs
  • Assist with personal care, including toileting, feeding, and mobility
  • Support students with behavior management, including de-escalation techniques and positive reinforcement
  • Collaborate with teaching staff to develop and implement individualized education plans
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment
