About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Reporting Accountant to join our client's team in a dynamic manufacturing environment. As a key member of the Accounting Services function, you will work closely with the Financial Controller to establish and maintain effective controls, ensuring accuracy and compliance with UKGAAP.

Key Responsibilities
  • Control Environment: Collaborate with the Financial Controller to develop and implement robust financial controls, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
  • Monthly Management Accounts: Prepare and present timely and accurate monthly management accounts, providing insightful analysis and ensuring compliance with financial standards.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Reconcile all supporting balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis, maintaining financial integrity and accuracy.
  • Stakeholder Queries: Address and resolve any queries raised by stakeholders regarding the accounts, providing clear and detailed explanations.
  • Cash Flow Forecasting: Prepare and present weekly group cash flow forecasts to the Financial Controller for consolidation, ensuring effective financial planning.
  • Issue Resolution: Proactively identify potential issues within the financial reporting process and suggest practical solutions.
  • Audit & Tax Process Management: Develop as the primary contact for the audit and tax processes across all companies within the group, managing relationships and fulfilling requests efficiently.
Requirements
  • Experience in audit, ideally looking for your first move into a financial reporting role within the manufacturing sector.
  • Strong understanding of UKGAAP and financial controls.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and manage stakeholder relationships.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.
  • A proactive and problem-solving mindset, with a passion for continuous improvement.
