Located at our client's cutting-edge facility in Greater Manchester, you will report directly to the Engineering Manager and be responsible for the engineering repairs, corrective actions, and scheduled maintenance of the facility.

Your role will involve responding to the demands of daily engineering tasks and activities to ensure optimal line performance, under the guidance of the engineering manager.

The Maintenance Engineer will play a crucial role in supporting the Engineering Manager in achieving performance and engineering KPIs.

Collaboration with the Engineering Management team will be essential to contribute to the development of personnel, processes, and systems aimed at ensuring reliable and consistent performance of the Engineering department.

The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in an engineering and troubleshooting capacity, ideally within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment, particularly in the food sector. A solid understanding of HACCP principles is essential, along with IEE qualifications up to the 18th edition wiring regulations, and qualifications equivalent to NVQ level 3 (or ONC in mechanical/electrical engineering, BTEC level 3 in mechanical & electrical/electronic engineering). The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment is also required.
