Lead Security Consultant

Barclays is seeking a seasoned Lead Security Consultant to spearhead the evolution of our digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence. As a key member of our security team, you will harness cutting-edge technology to revolutionize our digital offerings, ensuring unparalleled customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct security risk assessments and build threat models during the change & development lifecycle to identify vulnerabilities within our IT systems, applications, and infrastructure.
  • Enable DevSecOps by providing engagement channels for customers and stakeholders seeking security advice and input into their business plans and technology change designs.
  • Support and guide CISO, CIO, and Product Team functions by providing security reviews for prospective third-party technology products and services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and IT teams to support incident response and investigations, sharing security insights.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of security policies, standards, and procedures aligned to our risk tolerance, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices.

  • Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment in support of the control and governance agenda.
