Job Duties:
  • Provide high-quality care and support to children in a nursery setting
  • Plan and implement engaging and age-appropriate activities to promote children's development
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the nursery, adhering to health and safety protocols

Required Qualifications:
  • Level 3 Diploma in Childcare or equivalent
  • Level 2 Diploma in childcare or equivalent
  • Valid DBS check
  • First Aid certification
Education:

Minimum Level 3 Diploma in Childcare

Experience:

Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting, with a focus on delivering high-quality care and education

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Understanding of child development and early years education, with a focus on promoting children's social, emotional, and cognitive development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Ability to work effectively in a team, with a focus on delivering high-quality care and education
  • Organisational skills and attention to detail, with a focus on maintaining a safe and healthy environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Additional childcare qualifications, such as a Level 4 Diploma in Childcare
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs, with a focus on delivering tailored support and care
Working Conditions:

This role involves working with young children in a nursery environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality care and education. The work may be physically demanding at times, and the candidate must be able to stand, bend, and lift as needed.
