Senior Audio Programmer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Audio Programmer to join our team at Pocket Sized Hands in Leamington Spa. As a key member of our AAA Console Studio, you will be responsible for implementing high-quality audio experiences in our games.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a new AAA PC/Console project, collaborating with a talented team of developers and audio experts. Your primary focus will be on implementing sounds in-game, ensuring they align with the game's realistic feel. You will also be responsible for writing and maintaining audio libraries, utilizing your passion for audio to drive quality across all elements of the title.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implementing high-quality audio experiences in our games
  • Collaborating with the Technical Director to own the audio side of the project
  • Writing and maintaining audio libraries
  • Ensuring audio elements align with the game's realistic feel
  • Working closely with the development team to integrate audio features

Requirements

  • Experience as an Audio Programmer in the games industry
  • Past experience on Console or PC platforms
  • Strong C++ experience
  • An eye (and ear) for detail
  • Experience with Wwise, FMOD, or similar audio tools
  • Experience on audio for racing games is a plus
  • Unreal Engine experience is a plus
