Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Surveyor to join our team at oilandgas. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for delivering a full suite of building surveying services to our clients.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Chartered Building Surveyor with post-qualification experience to develop their career within a forward-thinking organization.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage and provide a range of building surveying and project management duties across various projects and sectors.
  2. Assist in the development of new and repeat business across all sectors.
  3. Manage client relationships and service delivery on a project-by-project basis.
  4. Apply standard forms of building contracts, such as JCT and NEC.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry issues and best practices.
  6. Manage teams and deliver commissions under framework agreements.
  7. Experience in sectors including education, local authorities, healthcare, central government, and infrastructure projects.
  8. Conduct defect analysis, undertake building surveys, and produce professional reports and specifications.
  9. Understand quality, safety, and environmental principles in project management.
  10. Deliver pre- and post-contract project management services.
Additional Responsibilities
  1. Support senior managers in the day-to-day running of the business.
  2. Manage project management and contract administration duties for larger projects.
  3. Conduct condition and measured surveys.
  4. Design and implement small to medium-sized projects.
  5. Undertake due diligence surveys.
Requirements
  1. BSc (Hons) in Building Surveying or equivalent qualification.
  2. Full membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
  3. Proven experience in all-round surveying.
  4. Experience in pre- and post-contract project management responsibilities.
  5. Excellent team working skills and communication abilities.
  6. Ability to travel as required.
  7. Liaise with senior colleagues to build a profitable service and positive team environment.
  8. Experience with AutoCAD and Revit is an advantage.
  9. Awareness of BIM systems.
  10. Mentoring of APC graduates.
  11. Full understanding of Health and Safety requirements.
