Paralegal - Complex Claims and Fraud Expert

About the Role
Clyde & Co is seeking a skilled Paralegal to join our Catastrophic Personal Injury team in Glasgow. As a Paralegal, you will play a vital role in handling high-value claims, covering policy coverage to litigation. You will work closely with our specialist fraud team, utilizing complex skill sets such as investigative interviewing, intelligence gathering, fraud measurement, data analytics, and risk assessment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist partners on Catastrophic Injury and Large Loss cases.
- Assist on Fraud cases.
- Handle own caseload of lower value claims.
- Take statements from witnesses.
- Investigate claims and utilize fraud tools.
- Draft and proof-read court pleadings.
- Assist in valuing personal injury claims.
- Review medical records and expert evidence.
- Prepare court bundles.
- Draft letters of instruction, requests, and instructions to Counsel.
- Prepare briefing notes, action plans, file notes, and attendance notes.
- Manage day-to-day deadlines with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Require strong organizational skills and be able to use a case management system.
- Ensure files and spreadsheets are maintained and updated.
Requirements
- Previous paralegal experience is desirable but not essential.
- An undergraduate law degree or equivalent is desirable but not essential.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to plan and prioritize effectively.
- Strong IT skills and proficient in Microsoft Office.
