We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Events Manager to join our team at Dreamtek Limited in London. This role is responsible for managing and mentoring a team of Senior Technicians and Technicians to deliver end-to-end event services, including technical coordination, presentation setup and support, AV/VC services, streaming, and event management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively manage the performance of direct reports through formal and informal channels.
  • Build and present regular business review meetings to illustrate patterns and trends, explaining observations, predicting future trends, and finding solutions to maintain or improve service quality.
  • Collaborate with clients to assist in planning and executing offsite events.

Daily Operations:

  • Oversee the successful planning, staffing, and delivery of event requests, held within the client's fully equipped event spaces.
  • Actively operate within the event spaces when required.
  • Own the technical support lifecycle and be responsible for managing stakeholder experience and technical risks throughout pre-production planning, execution, and post-event.
  • Support the planning and delivery of domestic and international offsite events.
  • Report staff, client, or technical failures to the management team and be responsible for gathering information required to complete the associated fault forms, within an agreed SLA time period, along with ideas to avoid a repeat occurrence.
  • Ensure SOPs are applied, and that contingency planning is included in event support.
  • Lead on R&D efforts, identifying ways in which we can improve quality of output through technology or workflows.
  • Create or oversee the creation of SOP documents, completing detailed event reporting, and utilizing internal systems.
  • Perform other ad hoc duties as required by the business.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 7 years of professional technical live event production experience.
  • Able to operate a range of installed AV systems to an advanced level.
  • Strong proficiency in operating broadcast, A/V, video editing, encoding systems.
  • Experience in interacting with C-Suite level stakeholders and talent.
  • 3+ years experience of line managing a team of AV and Events technicians at varying levels.
  • Ability to work events beyond the normal working day, including limited evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to travel to domestic and international events as required.
  • Creative in solving problems for various stakeholders.
  • Operational knowledge of broadcast, A/V, video editing, encoding systems.
