The Advocate Group is collaborating with a prominent FMCG organization to identify a crucial addition to their manufacturing team. This role is ideal for seasoned quality professionals with a background in the food sector, possessing knowledge of essential quality regulations and certifications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish guidelines, procedures, and key performance indicators that align with Group Food Safety and Quality policies, ensuring effective application and process efficiency.
- Assist the PFSQM in overseeing raw materials, packaging, production processes, non-conformities, and deviation permits.
- Design and implement training programs for internal auditors in collaboration with HR, ensuring comprehensive Food Safety, Good Manufacturing Practices, and Prerequisite Programs training across the facility.
- Set and enforce product traceability protocols, conducting simulations with Quality Systems, Plant, and Supply Chain teams.
- Oversee and uphold quality certifications, plan and carry out internal audits, monitor key performance indicators, and report findings to PFSQM and Plant Management.
- Develop and maintain the Food Safety and Quality manual, along with relevant plant procedures and documentation.
- Supervise external service providers to ensure compliance with plant Food Safety and Quality standards, including pest control and sanitation services.
- Revise HACCP plans based on risk assessments, train auditors on quality and food safety standards, and ensure product traceability through established protocols and simulations.
Candidate Profile:
- Experience in food quality management within an FMCG context, with a solid understanding of food safety, food technology, and both chemical and microbiological analysis.
- Proficient knowledge of packaging analysis, statistical sampling, and control principles in the food industry, pest management, and ISO certification standards (ISO 9001, FSSC 22000), along with familiarity with private certification schemes and food legislation (GMP, HACCP).
- Results-driven with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, and a keen attention to detail.
- A Master’s degree in Quality Food or a related discipline is highly advantageous.
