Overview

Advance TRS is seeking a skilled MEICA Operations Lead to enhance our operational capabilities within a joint venture framework. This position entails comprehensive oversight of MEICA delivery, collaborating closely with the operational and delivery teams.

Role Responsibilities

  • Assume full accountability for the quality and consistency of MEICA throughout the project lifecycle, from initial need assessment to commissioning and handover.
  • Design Phase Responsibilities:
  1. Outline Design: Provide essential guidance to project engineers for early MEICA input during design development and option evaluation.
  2. Detailed Design: Establish a uniform approach for reviewing supply chain submissions.
  3. Engage with Design Heads to assess the quality, timeliness, and consistency of design outputs, fostering relationships with designers and suppliers to enhance delivery.
  • Assist Programme Managers with resource allocation, addressing key MEICA issues as they arise, and overseeing MEICA construction quality.
  • Collaborate with Programme Managers, Procurement Managers, and Operations Leads to formulate a comprehensive MEICA procurement strategy.
  • Manage Project Engineers and M&E Supervisors across the framework.
  • Conduct regular meetings with regional delivery leads to ensure consistent MEICA implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with National and Local Technical Standards for all projects.
  • Hold frequent meetings with MEICA teams to evaluate performance and provide feedback, implementing processes to foster excellence across all projects.
  • Deliver regular progress updates to senior management and stakeholders, emphasizing key milestones, risks, and challenges.
  • Identify potential risks associated with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control, and automation systems.
  • Meticulously plan the Southern Water SCO procedure to maintain site compliance, chairing meetings to confirm risk assessments and mitigation strategies.
  • Be well-versed in MEICA subcontractor contract conditions and associated risks.
  • Ensure all projects achieve zero health, safety, and environmental incidents, demonstrating a commitment to CMDP Health, Safety & Welfare, and Environmental Policies.
  • Develop and implement innovative processes to guarantee consistent project delivery.

Candidate Profile

Essential Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in leading a large MEICA team.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing MEICA operations.
  • Extensive background in the water supply sector.
  • Proven ability to manage large teams in a multi-supplier context.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction contract law and various contract forms through experience and formal training.
  • Ability to influence internal stakeholders to shape MEICA strategy effectively.
