Job Summary:

Devonshire Appointments is seeking a highly skilled Security Officer to manage site security and serve as the primary point of contact for access to and from the building. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our site, as well as providing exceptional customer service to visitors and staff.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Site Security Management: Monitor CCTV systems, report any suspicious behavior to Senior Management, and ensure the security of the site at all times.
  • Access Control: Grant access to and from the site, ensuring that all visitors and staff follow the correct procedures.
  • Visitor Management: Welcome visitors, book them in, and inform the relevant personnel of their arrival.
  • Communication: Answer incoming calls promptly and politely, directing them to the required location using the internal telephone system if necessary.
  • Logistics: Log vehicular movements on site and provide a roll-call printout as required.
  • General Duties: Perform general housekeeping within the Gatehouse area and assist staff, agency workers, visitors, and contractors as needed.

Requirements:

  • Security Clearance: Hold a valid Frontline SIA License (Security Officer or Door Supervisor).
  • Certifications: Possess an in-date Action Counters Terrorism Certificates (Awareness & Security).
  • Communication Skills: Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Have reasonable PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.
  • Flexibility: Be able to work across early, late, and night shifts.
