Norse Group is a leading consultancy in property and construction, offering specialized services in architecture, surveying, engineering, and asset management to a diverse clientele across the UK. We are currently seeking a skilled Civil Engineer to enhance our Exeter Engineering team due to a growing demand for our services.

In this role, you will collaborate with a multi-disciplinary consulting team to provide technical services to both new and existing clients, with a primary focus on the Public Sector. You will have the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, contributing to or leading various engineering projects from inception to completion while managing client relationships effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute assigned projects within specified timelines and budget constraints.
  • Ensure that design and supervision costs align with the targets outlined in the current Business Plan.
  • Deliver civil engineering projects in accordance with client specifications and industry standards.
  • Adhere to established procedures, technical standards, and organizational policies.
  • Prepare Flood Risk Assessment (FRA) briefs, commission necessary assessments, and interpret findings.
  • Develop site investigation briefs, evaluate site conditions, and analyze soil report data.
  • Conduct civil engineering surveys to identify issues, document findings, and provide detailed recommendations.

Qualifications:

  • A formal qualification (Degree or HNC/D equivalent) in Civil Engineering.
  • Experience in civil engineering projects.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices and professional standards.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Proficient in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil3D, Causeway Flow).
  • Competent in Microsoft Office applications, with a quick adaptability to new systems.
  • A current CSCS site card or willingness to obtain one after appointment.
