About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Operations Manager to join our team at Tarmac Trading Limited. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the maintenance operations of our section, ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of maintenance personnel to ensure the efficient and effective maintenance of equipment and facilities.
  • Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Monitor and control maintenance costs, ensuring that they are within budget and aligned with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with business objectives and that any issues or concerns are addressed promptly.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with safety procedures and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and contractors to ensure that maintenance activities are carried out efficiently and effectively.
  • Monitor and report on maintenance performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as necessary.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure that maintenance personnel have the necessary skills and knowledge to carry out their duties effectively.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a maintenance management role, preferably in a heavy manufacturing industry.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with other departments and stakeholders.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions, with a focus on improving maintenance performance and reducing costs.
  • Knowledge of maintenance management principles and practices, including predictive maintenance and condition-based maintenance.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting deadlines and delivering results.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex maintenance issues.
