Job Description

We're currently recruiting for a Cost Manager to join our growing Healthcare team in our Cambridge office. Our healthcare team are expanding nationwide, delivering nationally significant transformative projects and programmes, including the International Children's Eye Centre at Moorfields and the Alder Hey in the Park Children's Hospital.

As a Cost Manager, you'll play a key role in supporting the end-to-end service delivery on new and exciting major healthcare projects and nationally significant programmes. You'll work collaboratively with leading design teams, sector specialists, and tier one main contractors to manage the design to budget.

Using our bespoke tools and apps, powered by The Hive, you'll optimise cost performance at every stage of projects. You'll also use our Benchmarking app to analyse and test budgets using a reliable pool of national data.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the end-to-end service delivery on new and exciting major healthcare projects and nationally significant programmes.
  • Use our bespoke tools and apps to optimise cost performance at every stage of projects.
  • Work collaboratively with leading design teams, sector specialists, and tier one main contractors to manage the design to budget.
  • Use our Benchmarking app to analyse and test budgets using a reliable pool of national data.
  • Inform our clients of future cost trends by harnessing the analytical capabilities of our Market Rates App.
  • Deliver the procurement strategy using our eTender platform.
  • Deal effectively with post contract cost variances, the change control process, and valuations.
  • Produce monthly post contract cost control reports.

We utilise market leading, in-house developed digital Cost Management technology to ensure we're fully equipped to create value and achieve the best solutions for our clients. We work collaboratively with our clients to be innovative and lead change in the market.

Qualifications

  • Minimum BSc in Quantity Surveying or similar.
  • Demonstrable experience delivering cost management services in healthcare or the life sciences sector.
  • Working towards or full membership of RICS (MRICS), ACostE or equivalent professional qualification.
  • Knowledge of NEC forms of contract would be beneficial.
