We are seeking an Automotive Maintenance Technician to become a vital member of our team at East of England Ambulance Service. In this role, you will be essential in ensuring our emergency vehicles are operational and ready to assist those in need.

Key Responsibilities:
The role entails performing vehicle repairs, maintenance, and servicing within designated timeframes and cost-effectiveness standards. Candidates should possess a C1 category license or be willing to obtain one within six months.
Job Duties Include:
- Taking initiative in maintenance and repair decisions for various vehicles.
- Responsible for the servicing, repair, and upkeep of all vehicles.
- Collaborating with other Mechanics and traveling to different ambulance stations as required.
- Conducting mechanical, electrical, and bodywork repairs on vehicles.
- Participating in on-call service and repair duties as necessary.
- Performing MOT inspections and repairs as needed.
- Maintaining tools, equipment, and cleanliness of the workshop.
- Complying with health and safety regulations and waste disposal guidelines.
- Providing mentorship and support to fellow team members.
- Engaging in continuous learning and skill enhancement.
Candidate Profile:
Driving License Requirements:
- C1 License category (or the ability to obtain one)
- Full UK Driving Licence
Experience Requirements:
Essential:
- Significant experience in vehicle mechanical engineering following apprenticeship completion.
Desirable:
Experience in a fast-paced NHS maintenance environment.Qualifications:

- NVQ Level 2 in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (Light Vehicle) or equivalent experience.
Desirable:
Membership in IRTE or IMI.Skills Required:
