Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our busy inpatient Medicine-Oncology Team at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. As a Band 6 Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to patients with complex physical and cognitive needs.

Main Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team on various wards, assessing and treating patients with complex needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans to promote patient independence and well-being.
  • Collaborate with junior staff to develop their clinical decision-making skills and provide supervision and guidance as needed.
  • Contribute to the development of the team's service, including leading on projects and initiatives to improve patient outcomes.
  • Work flexibly, including participating in weekend rosters and working across both campuses as required.

Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration.
  • Experience of working in an acute inpatient setting and using evidence-based practice to inform your work.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to reflect and critically appraise your own performance and the performance of junior staff.
  • Flexibility to work across both campuses and participate in weekend rosters as required.
