We are seeking a talented SEO Editor to join our team in London. As a key member of our newsroom, you will be responsible for driving traffic to our Mail brand and growing new audiences.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in search engine optimisation and experience of working in a fast-paced digital publishing environment. You will be able to apply SEO best practices and communicate effectively with the newsroom.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement SEO strategies to drive traffic to our Mail brand
- Collaborate with the newsroom to ensure SEO best practices are applied to all content
- Monitor and analyse SEO performance using a range of tools
- Make recommendations on SEO best practices and optimise stories for search engines
- Stay up-to-date with the latest SEO trends and algorithm changes
- Significant newsroom experience
- Familiarity with a range of SEO tools (e.g. SEMRush, Google Trends, News Dashboard)
- Ability to spot trends, identify traffic-driving opportunities and communicate those to the newsroom
- Sound understanding of Google Discover, Google News, organic search and Top Stories
- Flexibility regarding shift patterns (evening and weekends will be required)
