Job Description

Keoghs LLP is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Multi-Track File Handler to join our thriving Corporate Sector Risks Practice. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for handling a diverse caseload of Motor claims, including multi-track cases, and providing exceptional support to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a Mixed Caseload: Handle a variety of Motor claims, including multi-track cases, and ensure timely and effective resolution.
  • Build Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with Keoghs clients, brokers, and insurers to provide exceptional service and support.
  • Assess and Advise: Conduct thorough assessments and provide expert advice on liability and quantum to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
  • Develop Strategies: Collaborate with the team to devise effective strategies to resolve cases, identify areas for investigation, and gather evidence to support our claims.
  • Utilize Case Management System: Make full use of Keoghs' Case Management System to progress files from receipt to closure, ensuring seamless delivery of services to our clients.
  • Draft Pleadings: Prepare and draft pleadings, including Defences and witness evidence, to support our claims.
  • Attend Court Proceedings: Represent Keoghs in court, attend trials, settlement conferences, and other proceedings as required.
  • Meet Targets: Achieve targets in terms of chargeable hours, WIP, and client MI collection to ensure the success of our practice.
  • Collaborate with the Team: Work closely with the wider team to ensure a seamless delivery of services to our clients and maintain the highest standards of quality and excellence.
  • Compliance and Values: Ensure compliance with the SRA Standards & Regulations and adhere to Keoghs' Values, which include being connected, dynamic, innovative, and succeeding together.
Requirements:
  • Motor Multi-Track Experience: Proven experience in handling Motor multi-track claims, including personal injury and credit hire.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Positive, confident, and enthusiastic with excellent listening, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Negotiation and Report Writing: Ability to negotiate via telephone and prepare succinct and concise reports.
  • Interpersonal and Client Care Skills: Excellent interpersonal and client care skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, brokers, and insurers.
  • Marketing and IT Skills: Excellent marketing skills and high-level IT skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team and utilize technology to support our practice.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: High level of analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, and work under pressure.
  • Decision-Making and Trust-Building: Ability to make decisions, win the trust and confidence of others, and anticipate problems and identify solutions.
  • Attention to Detail and Advocacy Skills: Ability to maintain concentration and pay attention to detail, with good advocacy skills and the ability to effectively communicate with clients and stakeholders.
