About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Personal Assistant to support a PhD student with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy at the University of Cardiff. The successful candidate will provide daily care and assistance with personal, health, and academic tasks, enabling our client to live independently and pursue their academic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Administer medication and use medical equipment as required
  • Provide light academic support, such as retrieving books from the library and attending meetings and research trips
  • Accompany our client to medical appointments and social events
  • Perform daily living tasks, including housekeeping and domestic duties
Requirements
  • Valid Passport
  • Clean Automatic driving licence
  • Confident driver
  • Previous PA/Care experience (desirable)
  • Dependable and physically fit individual with a caring nature
  • Strong communication and listening skills
  • Mature and responsible attitude
  • Fluent in English
  • Clean and tidy appearance
