Join Our Team as a Utility Meter Technician

We are currently seeking dedicated individuals for the role of Utility Meter Technician. This is a full-time position that allows you to work close to home, and no prior experience is necessary.

About the Role:
As a Utility Meter Technician, you will be tasked with gathering data from gas, electricity, and water meters across various properties, both commercial and residential. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Accurately recording meter readings using a handheld device throughout the day.
  • Providing exceptional customer service at each location.
  • Performing visual inspections of metering equipment.
  • Conducting Charge Point Surveys.

What We Offer:
We provide a competitive pay structure starting at £ per hour, with the potential for average annual earnings between £26,000 and £30,000, plus additional bonuses averaging £(Apply online only) monthly. You will enjoy:
  • Flexible working hours, typically Monday to Friday, between 8 am and 8 pm.
  • Weekly payment and overtime rates (£15 - £16) at the manager's discretion.
  • Reimbursement for business expenses.

  • Comprehensive training, both classroom-based and field-based, with experienced trainers.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
  • A valid UK Manual Driving Licence with no DR offences (minimum 1 year, maximum 6 points).
  • Physical fitness to walk an average of 5-7 miles daily, including climbing stairs and working in various weather conditions.
  • A clear DBS check (no unspent criminal convictions).
  • A credit report check (no county court judgments, IVA, or debt relief orders recorded in the last 6 years).
  • Previous customer service experience is preferred but not essential.

Training:
The training program lasts one week and includes both classroom instruction and field training, allowing you to learn from seasoned professionals in the industry.
