Higher Level Teaching Assistant Role

GSL Education is seeking a skilled and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a wonderful school in Rochdale. The successful candidate will provide support to the class teacher, ensuring students adhere to the school's behaviour management policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in the classroom, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Develop and implement interventions with small groups of children, addressing specific learning needs.
  • Assist with planning and preparation, contributing to the development of engaging lesson plans.
  • Provide one-to-one support to students, helping them to overcome challenges and achieve their full potential.

Requirements:

  • Higher Level Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant degree.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, with a strong understanding of Key Stage 2 curriculum.
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for a new one.
