Purchasing Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Purchasing Assistant to join our team at Universal Business Team. This exciting role will provide an opportunity to progress into a Category Manager position within a 2-year timeframe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Secure best pricing from suppliers and prepare competitive quotations for the sales team
  • Place daily purchase orders on time for stock and non-stock items
  • Monitor purchase orders and deliveries to ensure timely receipt
  • Manage the MRP system to ensure stock products meet customer demand
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to improve performance
  • Continuously monitor and reduce buying prices to optimize costs

Requirements:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Proficiency in SAP is highly desirable
  • Analytical mind with strategic ability
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Alignment with company values
  • Proactive approach to suggesting improvements and adapting to change
  • Engagement in self-directed learning and training to enhance role effectiveness

Benefits:
