Role Overview
As a vital member of our local procurement team, the Procurement Assistant will support the operations at your designated site while adhering to the overarching National procurement strategy. Your role will be key to the success of our organization, as you will help manage and enhance the regional supplier network.
No prior experience in procurement or purchasing is required, as comprehensive training on systems and products will be provided, along with a clear development pathway.
Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting in the management of a diverse supplier portfolio
  • Engaging in sourcing and negotiations with current suppliers, challenging pricing when necessary
  • Ensuring compliance with quality standards, service expectations, and best-practice initiatives
  • Collaborating with internal sales & logistics teams to maintain effective communication
  • Monitoring supplier performance and fostering strong working relationships
  • Supporting tendering processes, product inquiries, and various project tasks
  • Executing purchases of both standard and customized stock items
  • Conducting supplier benchmarking assessments
  • Performing reporting and statistical analysis of product usage
  • Upholding the company's procurement strategy and adhering to best practices
  • Aiming to maximize profitability while minimizing business risks
  • Managing stock control and administrative tasks
