About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to join our team at Dechra Pharmaceuticals Limited. As a key member of our site team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety, and well-being of our employees and the environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the EHS Manager in implementing new and amended health and safety policies, procedures, and standards across the site.
  • Develop and maintain site safety procedures and standards, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular safety training and maintain matrices across all departments, promoting a culture of safety and awareness.
  • Provide regular performance reports to the EHS Manager, tracking progress on the annual safety strategy and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with health and safety representatives to develop and coach departmental safety initiatives, enhancing the site's safety culture.
  • Support environmental improvement activities to reduce the site's environmental impact on air, water, and land.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH Certificate or Diploma, or a degree in an OHS discipline.
  • ISO 14001 and 45001 Internal Auditor training.
  • Positive attitude, target-driven, and quality-minded.
  • Ability to work under pressure, cross-functionally, and with a thorough understanding of COSHH regulations and best practices.
  • Fundamental knowledge of UK H&S legislation and HSE regulations.

Please note that all successful candidates will be required to undergo a basic DBS check before employment can commence, and at regular intervals during employment. Dechra will cover the cost of this check.
