About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Material Planner to join our dynamic team at Samworth Brothers. As a Material Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our production lines have the necessary materials and packaging to meet demand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and hauliers, to maintain high levels of service and efficiency.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams across the site and Food to Go business unit.
  • Place orders with suppliers, ensuring timely deliveries to meet production needs.
  • Utilize departmental KPIs to optimize resource stock levels, minimize waste, and reduce special vehicles and redundant stock write-offs.
Requirements
  • Extensive knowledge of MRP/ERP systems.
  • Intermediate Excel skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Good level of English and Maths (must be numerate).
  • Educated to GCSE / 'A' Level or equivalent.
