About the Role

Circet IRE & UK is seeking an experienced Civils Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure build and maintenance team, you will be responsible for managing workflows, surveying and programming work streams, and organizing staff to carry out required works efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Manage the full project lifecycle from allocation to closure, ensuring quality and the return of relevant packs to close out jobs.
  2. Communicate and enforce policies, procedures, and processes to crews on site.
  3. Address non-conformance and non-compliance early to minimize cost impact.
  4. Coach and mentor field operatives to improve quality and compliance to industry standards.
  5. Set realistic weekly KPIs and deliver them to ensure good performance.
  6. Complete material sample audits and carry out in-progress audits to identify and implement innovations that improve site safety.
  7. Provide regular updates and reports to the Works Control and Noticing departments.
  8. Ensure all permit and noticing conditions are met on site.
  9. Report findings in real-time via a handheld device in conjunction with the Client and Works Control.
  10. Identify and prepare submissions for DFEs (Design for Excellence) for Client approval.
  11. Manage and maintain existing LA relationships, including joint site meetings with the Client and other stakeholders.
  12. Identify Client needs and commercial opportunities, feeding back to the Project Manager/Contracts Manager.
  13. Feed up correct reporting to the Project Manager and feed down precise instructions to the workforce.
  14. Investigate jobs and assign responsible operatives for commercial reporting.
  15. Keep accurate daily records of works planned and issues encountered.
  16. Monitor employee productivity and provide constructive feedback and coaching.
Health and Safety Obligations
  1. Fully understand and implement the company safety policy and procedures.
  2. Ensure that programs for contracts are successfully delivered in a Safe, Quality, and On-Time manner.
  3. Drive compliance to any regulatory measures that may apply to the works and operations that Circet undertake.
  4. Ensure that all contracts achieve turnover and profitability by maximizing efficiency and minimizing cost of failure.
Knowledge Requirements
  1. Experience and strong understanding of the SROH (Single Responsibility Ownership and Handover).
  2. Understanding of the importance of closing jobs to reduce WIP (Work-In-Progress) and increase cash in the business.
  3. Understanding of the importance of WIP v Cash.
  4. Strategic and Commercial Awareness: Understand and take into consideration business impact of decisions, operational and client requests.
  5. Understanding of how to process DFEs and gain relevant approvals.
  6. Understanding and defining what good quality on site looks like - know the best practice for the delivery of our work.
  7. NRSWA accreditation to Supervisor.
  8. Experience and knowledge in regard to Craft and CPI standard for ROI and UK.
  9. An understanding of permit to work schemes and noticing.
  10. Experience of demonstrating good communication skills and prioritizing works effectively.
  11. Comfortable and confident working to tight timescales effectively.
  12. Experience of dealing with external stakeholders and communicating effectively.
  13. Experience of implementing, following, and amending procedures for the purpose of service delivery as dictated by the Client.
  14. Previous reinstatement experience would be an advantage.
  15. Ability to understand Client's quality requirements.
  16. Candidates should be professional, self-motivated, with good communication skills, and be able to integrate fully into the project delivery team.
  17. IOSH desirable.
