About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and talented Research Engineer to join our team. As a Cybersecurity Research Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying AI systems that can detect and prevent cyber threats. You will work closely with our team of cybersecurity researchers, machine learning researchers, and infrastructure engineers to develop new capabilities and safety evaluations for AI systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop AI systems that can detect and prevent cyber threats
  • Collaborate with our team to develop new capabilities and safety evaluations for AI systems
  • Conduct research on the security implications of AI systems and develop mitigations to prevent misuse
  • Develop and deploy AI systems that can measure the performance of AI agents against difficult cyber tasks
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in industry, academia, or open-source collectives in a field related to machine learning, AI, AI security, or computer security
  • Experience in building software systems to meet research requirements and have led or been a significant contributor to relevant software projects
  • Knowledge of training, fine-tuning, scaffolding, prompting, deploying, and/or evaluating current cutting-edge machine learning systems such as large language models
  • Strong curiosity in understanding AI systems and studying the security implications of this technology
