The successful candidate will be part of a team of engineers providing services in support of digital (FPGA) and computer-based safety systems. The team's work and skill balance will emphasize providing robust analysis and modelling.
Key Responsibilities:- **Analysis of FPGA Designs**: Conduct thorough analysis of FPGA designs and code within existing products to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- **Integration and Testing**: Assist with the integration and testing of FPGA designs and code to ensure seamless functionality.
- **Technical Support**: Provide specific technical support to project managers and/or team leaders for projects, ensuring timely and effective delivery.
- **Ethical and Safe Work Practices**: Carry out all work ethically, safely, and in accordance with relevant standards and best practice within the nuclear industry.
- **Degree in Electronics Engineering**: Hold a degree in Electronics Engineering or demonstrate industry experience in an electronics design role.
- **FPGA/ASIC Design Expertise**: Possess a firm theoretical understanding and practical experience of FPGA/ASIC design in chip architecture, coding (VHDL), test benches, simulation, testing, synthesis, and place and route.
- **High-Integrity Experience**: Have experience in high-integrity fields, such as aviation or safety equipment.
- **Digital Electronics Knowledge**: Have exposure to and understanding of major digital electronics families and device categories.
- **Test Equipment Proficiency**: Be proficient in the use of modern test equipment, such as digital mixed-mode oscilloscopes, logic analysers, and programmable instrumentation.
